What we build
Paving and walkways
Garden paths, stepping stones, patios, pool surrounds and paved entertainment areas, in pavers, stone or a mix of materials.
Decorative stone
Pebble and gravel beds, rock features and mulched areas that add texture and reduce lawn and watering.
Outdoor cladding
Stone cladding on feature walls, planters and boundary walls that gives a garden a finished, architectural look.
Outdoor living spaces
Paved seating and entertainment areas, planted to frame the space and connect it to the rest of the garden.
Why the base matters
Paving fails from the bottom up. Sinking, rocking pavers and weeds in the joints are usually caused by a poorly compacted base or no fall for water. We excavate to the right depth, compact the layers, set falls so water runs away from buildings, and finish with secure edging so the paving stays level.
Planning paving with the garden
Paving works best when it is planned together with planting and irrigation. Paths should follow the routes people actually walk, patios need shade and screening, and irrigation pipes should be laid under paving before it goes down. That is why we often combine paving with landscape design and installation.
Choosing materials
Pavers come in concrete and clay, in many sizes, colours and finishes. Smooth finishes look sleek but can be slippery around pools; textured finishes give better grip. Lighter colours stay cooler underfoot in Pretoria summers, while darker colours hide dirt. For decorative stone, choose sizes that suit the use: larger pebbles stay in place on slopes, finer gravel suits paths. We bring samples to the site visit where possible.

Paving & Stonework for Pretoria conditions
Some parts of Pretoria, particularly in the east, have clay soils that swell when wet and shrink when dry. On these soils, base preparation and drainage are especially important, because movement in the ground is what lifts and cracks paving. Summer storms also make falls and run-off a key part of any paving design.
Frequently asked questions
Do you build driveways?
Our focus is garden paving: paths, patios, pool surrounds and outdoor living areas. Ask us about your driveway project and we will tell you honestly whether it is a good fit.
Can paving be laid over existing lawn?
The lawn and topsoil need to be removed first so a proper, compacted base can be built. Laying over lawn leads to sinking and weeds.
Which is better, pavers or decorative stone?
Pavers suit areas you walk or sit on. Decorative stone and gravel suit beds and low-traffic areas, and help reduce lawn and watering.
Can you clad an existing wall?
Usually, yes. We check the wall's condition first, because cladding needs a sound surface.
